There aren't many visitors
Here on the mountain
This time of year
I carry a notebook
In my back pocket
In case there's anything
Worth jotting down
Notebooks filled with
Things worth jotting down
Maybe next season
Someone will come around
On Holy Lonely Mountain
There's a stream too small
To be called river
It carries to me fish
It brings to me such peace
I carve my words in stone
And will be outlived
By my language
The apple is not the garden
And Lonely is the Mountain
And it is not
Even with few visitors
I am confident that I have many friends
So fresh is the stream
I rejoice, "O Mighty River!"
But I'm not so foolish
As to be deceived
Years pass by with no company
The Mountain stands
Neither more, nor less Lonely

This Year's New Sinatra was written and recorded in one week. It may have rained that week. I believe that to be the reason that this album is so damn good. The Holy Mountain Analog Band
